29 Nepal Army personnel diagnosed with COVID-19 in Dang

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: As many as 29 Nepal Army (NA) personnel were found infected by novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).


The army soldiers at the Tulsipur-based 19 Brigade were diagnosed with the viral infection during a lab test conducted at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj on Tuesday, according to Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dang Gobina Rijal.

Their swab samples were collected in the course of contact tracing after a soldier working in Pyuthan contracted the virus earlier on August 2. 


Of the 31 personnel who underwent the test, 29 were found infected. They were kept under the isolation wards set up within the brigade premises, according to CDO Rijal.
