KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former home minister, who has been implicated in the cooperative funds embezzlement cases, has been presented in the Kathmandu District Court for a detention hearing.
The hearing that started on Monday at the bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari in the Kathmandu District Court was extended till today.

Since the defending lawyers could not wrap up their arguments on Monday, and Tuesday was a public holiday, the hearing is scheduled to take place today.
Lamichhane was detained at Kathmandu Police Range in Bhadrakali.
Meanwhile, Lamichhane was released on January 10 after paying a bail of Rs 6.5 million in the Kaski District Court in the case of embezzlement of funds of the Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Cooperative.
