The deceased have been identified as a jeep driver Sundar Khadka Magar from Rugha of Tribeni Rural Municipality-1, and Prem Kala Pun of around 16 years from Sanibheri-6, according to the District Police Office, Rukum West.

A meeting of the provincial Cabinet on August 28, 2026, decided to deposit the assistance in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, according to Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Minister Prakash Bahadur Rawal.

The meeting reviewed the development of community nursing services, the status of OCMCs operating in all 77 districts, and the provision of services related to eight types of complex diseases.
