KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Police have arrested a central member of the ruling CPN-UML, Kishor Bikram Malla.
Navraj Adhikari, Superintendent of Police (SP) and Spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Range, said that Malla was arrested after a complaint was filed against him for an offense of ‘check bounce’ at Police Circle, Maharajgunj.

The Police Range, Bhaktapur arrested Malla on the charge of issuing a check of Rs 2.50 million that bounced. He has been sent to the police circle, Maharajganj.
According to the police, UML’s Pushpa Raj Paharai filed a complaint with the police after a check worth Rs 2.50 million bounced. In case of a bounced check, settlement can be reached between the two parties at any stage. Therefore, the police have been facilitating discussions between both parties.
