3-member panel formed to probe Charikot incident

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has formed a three-member investigation Committee on Thursday to look into a case of minor's death at Charikot Health Post whose passing caused a stir among the locals.

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has formed a three-member investigation Committee on Thursday to look into a case of minor's death at Charikot Health Post whose passing caused a stir among the locals. 



According to Pratap Poudel, advisor to Minister for Health Gagan Thapa, the Ministry has also instructed the committee to submit its report within three days. 



The Committee is formed under the coordination of Chief of Central Regional Health Directorate Dr Ramesh Bikram Singh that comprises under-secretary at the Ministry Krishna Prasad Lamsal and officer at the Department of Health Services Deepak Rijal. 



The Committee members have already set out to Charikot to investigate into the case. 



A two-and-half-year-old boy, Mahadev Rijal, who was admitted to the Health Post had passed away on 23 September in course of the treatment.
