KATHMANDU, June 15: Province 2 has allocated expenditure of Rs 33.79 billion for the next fiscal year, giving high priority to women education and health care.

Announcing the budget on Tuesday, Vijay Kumar Yadav, Minister for the Economic Affairs and Planning of Province 2, said the provincial government has allocated Rs 18.05 billion (53.44 percent) in capital expenditure. Province 2 will be utilizing the Rs 13.90 billion grant of the federal government as its main source of funds for the next year’s budget.
