Rs 40.95 billion budget for Lumbini Province for next FY, funds separated for master plan for new capital Dang-Deukhuri

KATHMANDU, June 15: Lumbini Province has introduced a budget of Rs 40.95 billion for the next fiscal year. Of the amount, Rs 14.93 billion has been allocated for recurrent expenses while Rs 21.17 billion has been allocated for development projects. The budget for the next year is Rs 3.60 billion in excess of that of the budget for the current fiscal year.

Health, agriculture, employment, and economic recovery are some of the top priorities of the budget announced by Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Lumbini Province, Baijnath Chaudhary.


The budget has allocated ‘sufficient’ funds for a master plan for Dang-Deukhuri, the new capital of the province.
