KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Dr. Mahabir Pun has put his medals for online auction to raise funds for National Innovation Center (NIC)'s operation in a sustainable manner.
Pun aims to raise US$ 5,000,000 by selling his medals, the Ramon Magsaysay (Asia's Nobel Prize), Rastra Deep, Dr. Harka Gurung Mountaineering Award, International Hall of Fame and the University of Nebraska Honor Award. Pun's awards have been put on auction from August 31 until October 15, 2018 at 32Auctions.com. The awards are being auctioned for US$ 100,000, $50,000, $30,000, $100,000 and $20,000 respectively.

"NIC would like to request business houses, donor communities and angel investors to give one-time financial support either in the form of a grant or a soft loan to help realize the project," the website quoted NIC.
