Eight more recover from COVID-19 in Nepal, 71 active cases now

BIRATNAGAR, May 8: Eight more COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease. 


They were discharged from the Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital earlier today. Of the eight winning COVID-19, seven are from Udayapur district while one is an Indian national.

It has been learnt that seven males will be kept at Rani Markat Madarsa in Biratnagar while a female is being sent to Udayapur. 


Earlier on Wednesday, six Indian nationals, who had been undergoing treatment at the Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital, were discharged after they had tested negative twice.


Of the 101 confirmed cases in Nepal, 30 have returned home after winning the battle against the deadly virus. With this, there are a total of 71 active cases who are undergoing treatment at different hospitals of Nepal. No death has been reported so far.
