The next CC meeting is scheduled for August 2, which is expected to finalize the CC members. The party’s general convention had only elected 93 CC members out of 299. CPN (Unified Socialist) is looking to pick the remaining 206 CC members.

Party leaders stated that the high number of aspirants has made the selection process difficult. The selection of the remaining 18 office bearers has been delayed due to the delay in the central committee getting full shape. The general convention had selected only three office bearers.
