KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi was assaulted inside the premises of Kathmandu District Court by cadres of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on Wednesday. Tripathi presented arguments representing the victims of the Swarnalaxmi cooperative fraud case.
The attack occurred after a closed-door hearing in the case involving RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, a defendant in the case. RSP and Lamichhane supporters gathered in large numbers outside the court, mobbing the senior lawyer. The judge is expected to issue an order on the case today.
