Chand-led Maoists running anti-election campaign in Gulmi

GULMI, April 10: The CPN-Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand has been conducting anti-election campaigns in Gulmi.

GULMI, April 10: The CPN-Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand has been conducting anti-election campaigns in Gulmi.


Cadres of the party have been removing the boards of various rural municipalities in the district. They have also padlocked some government offices. As told by the party's secretariat member Khim Khadka, they have been padlocking rural municipalities so as to obstruct the local level elections.

According to him, the government should dissolve the present parliamentary management and implement scientific communism. The party has been conducting various programs in the district, urging the people to boycott the elections.


 Cadres of the party have been visiting villages to convince villagers to support them to thwart the local elections.
