Bookstore and travel agency catch fire in Gongabu (Update with photos and video)

KATHMANDU, March 25: Properties worth Rs 1.8 million have been damaged in a blaze in a book store and a travel agency in Gongabu on Saturday evening.


Shrestha Book Stores and Saga Travel and Tours Pvt. Ltd, situated near the overhead bridge caught fire due to the short circuit of the inverter in the book store.  Book store owner Uttam Shrestha informed Republica online that property Rs 800,000 was lost due to the incident.

Likewise, the travel agency caught fire and caused the damaged to the property worth Rs one million, informed Swacham Gurung, of the travel agency.


According to the police, the fire was in control with the joint effort two fire engines, Nepal Police, APF and Nepal Army after one hour.
