Traffic resumes on Beni-Jomsom road

MYAGDI, Sept 24: The Beni-Jomsom linking northern part of Myagdi and trans-Himalayan district, Mustang, has resumed after necessary repairs.

MYAGDI, Sept 24: The Beni-Jomsom linking northern part of Myagdi and trans-Himalayan district, Mustang, has resumed after necessary repairs. 


Traffic operation has resumed along the 76-km road since Sunday evening following its maintenance at Kavre cliff located along the border of Myagdi and Mustang, shared Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project Chief Narendra Subedi.

Landslides occurred at Rahughat, Rupse, Ghansa and Kavre cliff, and river erosion had obstructed the road section since September 12. 


A new track was opened in the road obstruction area with the help of Nepal Army, Subedi informed. 


With the road coming into operation, the vehicular movement has become smooth from Beni to Jomsom, informed project's supervisor Indra Singh Sherchan. RSS
