To pay the fine, one should click on the traffic police logo on the kiosk machine and type the chit number and fiscal year on the screen and press the ‘Next’ button. According to MTPD, the amount can be paid via the machine and the person can go to the traffic office with the printed receipt and get their documents.

SP Sanjib Sharma Das, spokesperson for the Traffic Police said that the machine will play an important role in reducing the risk of COVID-19 infection by reducing unnecessary congestion in the traffic office and banks during the pandemic. "While expanding various technologies to pay traffic fines, this machine will be very helpful in paying cash to the customers who do not use mobile banking or other online technology," he added.
