KATHMANDU, August 3: The police have arrested a suspicious passenger boarding a Nepal Airlines Corporation’s (NAC) plane bound for Mumbai.
Premnath Thakur, general manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, said that passenger Santosh Lamichhane, who boarded the plane, was stopped and checked.

Based on information received by the police that a suspect involved in gold smuggling had boarded the plane, Lamichhane was detained after requesting NAC.
The narrow-body aircraft had the flight from the airport to Mumbai at 1:10 PM but after the delay finally took off at 3:20 PM.
