NEA recovers Rs 228 million after disconnecting electricity of 19,000 customers

According to the NEA’s data, the electric line of 19,232 customers was disconnected during the month. Of these, the electric lines of 14,111 customers have been connected after they paid their dues.

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) have collected arrears of nearly Rs 230 million after disconnecting electric lines of over 19,000 customers in mid-December to mid-January (Poush).


According to the NEA’s data, the electric line of 19,232 customers was disconnected during the month. Of these, the electric lines of 14,111 customers have been connected after they paid their dues.

The NEA’s Distribution and Consumer Services Directorate (DCSD), Finance department’s mentioned that a total of Rs 228.45 million has been collected as arrears during this month.
