HETAUDA, June 7: Chief Attorney of State 3 has resigned from his post.
Chief Attorney Surya Chandra Neupane's resignation comes at a time when the Chief Minister of the state government, Dormani Poudel, is undergoing medical treatment after falling ill.

Neupane said he tendered his resignation to the Chief Minister through the state government chief secretary Ananda Raj Dhakal. Giving reasons for his putting in papers, Neupane said he resigned from his post as he was not able to work independently as is his habit and the compulsion to work remaining within limitations. As per the law, the State Chief approves the resignation of the Chief Attorney.
Neupane, who is also a senior advocate, said he resigned also because the role and responsibilities of the Chief Attorney were not like that of a political appointee and prestige but as that of a general employee.
