Six held in connection with fake gold selling

KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Police on Monday arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in swindling unwary people of cash by selling one kilograms of fake gold.

KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Police on Monday arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in swindling unwary people of cash by selling one kilograms of fake gold.  


The suspects arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police from different places of Kathmandu are Pawan Bishwakarma, 25, of Sunsari, Manish Dhungana, 35, of Dhanusa, Dhaneswor Kumar Danuwar, 25, of Sarlahi, Purna Bahadur Pulami, 26, of Sarlahi, Sangita Rai, 25, of Dhankuta, Santosh Kumar Lama, 29, of Parsa.

The CIB said in a statement that the six were found to have defrauded Rs 4 million.  The police have seized a cash of Rs 1.5 million from Purna Bahadur Pulami and Rs 7, 00000 from Sangita Rai.
