RSP calls parliamentary party meeting to discuss gold smuggling

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Rastriya Swatantra party (RSP) has called a parliamentary party meeting to form the party's opinion on recent cases of gold smuggling.


According to RSP, a meeting of the parliamentary party has been called to formulate an official opinion on the issue of gold smuggling which is mentioned as one of the agenda of the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting scheduled for today. A few days ago, 100 kg of gold was seized by the Department of Revenue Investigation after the gold was passed through the customs check at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

The main opposition party CPN-UML has also called a parliamentary party meeting to make a decision on this issue. Since the parliament meeting is going to be held for the first time after the gold smuggling incident, all the opposition parties have prepared to demand answers from the government regarding the issue during the HoR session today.
