KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The government has called a meeting of the top leaders of the major political parties to discuss the formation of a high-level commission to investigate the gold smuggling case.

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The government has called a meeting of the top leaders of the major political parties to discuss the formation of a high-level commission to investigate the gold smuggling case.


UML Parliamentary Party Whip Mahesh Bartaula said that the meeting was called at the Home Ministry.

“The Home Minister has called a meeting. I am in the Home Ministry. The meeting will begin shortly,” he told Republica.


Earlier, the major political parties had agreed to form a high level commission. The two-point agreement was signed by the chief whips of the nationally recognized parties in the federal parliament.
