A special squad from Area Police Office, Garuda arrested 18-year-old Radheshyam Patel of Pataura VDC-6 from Bamnahar of Basantapati VDC this monring, Police Inspector Santulal Prasad Jayaswal told Republica.
He had raped the minor girl while she was collecting fodder in a sugarcane field last Friday.
Police said the victim has been receiving treatment at National Medical College in Birgunj.
