BHAKTAPUR, Feb 13: A drama named ‘Ranipokhari Tender’ was organized at Aastha Theater of Liwali, Bhaktapur for three days. The drama was presented as a satire toward the agreement and distribution, flattery, and discrimination that is present among the government staff and contract procedure for Ranipokhari. The drama was inaugurated by the head of Bhaktpur Municipality Sunil Prajapati on Friday.

The drama was presented by Aastha Sanskirtik Family and showed how corruption affects the country’s development. This drama shows how even empowered people can get influenced by misguidance. As the reconstruction of Ranipokhari is mired in political controversies, this drama is a satirical attack to the leaders of Kathmandu.
The play is an adaptation of Indian theater artist Ajaya Shukla’s play named ‘Taj Mahal Ka Tender’ the play was translated in Nepali by Niraj Lawaju, while Ramesh Prajapati directed it. Around two dozen actors had acted in the one-and-half-hour long play. The show came to a conclusion on Sunday.
