KATHMANDU, April 16: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state oil monopoly, has hiked the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene for the second time in 15 days.
According to Sushil Bhattarai, acting Managing Director of the state oil monopoly, the price of petrol is increased by Re 1 and diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 each per liter.

With the new price adjustment, petrol will now cost Rs 106 and diesel Rs 87 per liter. The new price will be effective from Monday midnight.
The NOC decided to hike the price of petrol and diesel after the price of petroleum products went up in the international market, said Bhattarai to Republica. He added that the organization will see the profit of Rs 210 million per fortnight.
Earlier, on April 2, the NOC had hiked the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 each.
