‘My Children Are My Life’

Ram Charan Chaudary is a 39-year-old security officer. He lives at Satdobato, Lalitpur with his family of five (two son and one daughter) and his wife. He is originally from Bijauri, Dang.


Chaudhary has been working as a security officer at a cold store in Kusunti for the last 10 years, while he also works at a school during day time. “I feel that my work is not easy. Managing day and night shifts, that too as a security officer, doesn’t leave me much time to sleep or take a rest.”

He says the definition of life for him is his kids and he has no issues working all day as well as night if he can earn enough to provide his children with quality education. Before coming to Kathmandu, Chaudhary earned his living through agriculture.
