LAHAN, Dec 20: Rita Kumari Yadav, 12, was hit by a tipper truck while going to school at the Rupni section under East-West Highway.
The family and relatives of the deceased have blocked the East-West Highway saying that the girl was killed by reversing the vehicle. Saptari Police Spokesperson Naresh Kumar Singh said that after the protestors enforced a chakka jam, police had been mobilized from Rajbiraj in this area.
