ITAHARI, March 17: Local residents living near the roads leading to the religious centre of Barahachettra demonstrated against the dust pollution they said was a result of carelessness on part of the Department of Road and local government.

The Kanchichowk Nadaha section of the road under Barachettra municipality is under construction and has made life difficult for the locals with dust pollution and piles of construction materials. The locals have also obstructed traffic saying that the condition has led to increasing road accidents as well. "It’s a nightmare for pedestrians and also travelling in rickshaw and cycle," local Pushpa Pokharel said.
