PALPA, Dec 11: A 94 – year –old man's total sum of donated money for social and religious causes until now has amounted to a whopping Rs 20 million.
Rampur's Loknath Upadhaya has been unrelenting in his effort for the development of the society and religion.
He has spent huge amount of money in various religious festivals, cultural activities, education, health, communications, tourism destinations' conservation and infrastructure development. He has also established revolving funds and scholarships for hardworking students from poor economic backgrounds.
"There are no rich or poor people in the world, all of them are human beings, only a man's opinion can be great," Upadhaya said, adding, "But the rich and poor are only pushing the society backward in place of development, this trend has created discrimination between people." RSS
