India increases price of diesel and decreases price of petrol

KATHMANDU, July 16:  Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has said that India has increased the price of diesel while decreasing the price of petrol.


According to the 15-day prices update received by the NOC on Saturday evening, the price of diesel has risen by Rs 2. 47 per liter, while the price of petrol has decreased by 34 paisa per liter.

Now, based on the same price, NOC will decide whether the consumer price will decrease or increase. After the new price received from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the NOC has made a profit of Rs 500 million in 15 days.


After receiving the new price from the IOC, the board of directors meeting is preparing to decide the new price in Nepal. Only then will the new price of fuel be decided across the country.


The board meeting of NOC will be held on Sunday. The last time the corporation adjusted the price of fuel was on July 2. According to which, the price of petrol in the Kathmandu Valley has been fixed at Rs 167.50 per liter, diesel and kerosene at Rs 147.50 per liter.


Similarly, the price of domestic aviation fuel is Rs 136 per liter while international aviation fuel is 1050 US dollars per kiloliter.
