Discussions on Chhanda Parag held

KATHMANDU, May 1: A discussion was held here in the capital on the skills of writing poetry in metrical pattern and its influences in literature.


The discussion centred on the book entitled "Chhanda Parag" (book on introduction and use of meters in poetry) penned by poet and critic Dr Devi Nepal. The programme was jointly organized on the occasion of poet Nepal's 45th birth day today by Antarrastriya Gajal Munch and Anam Mandali.

Nepal Academy chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti and poet and critic Dr Ram Prasad Gyawali praised the role of poet Nepal for reviving the metrical tradition in poetry.


Similarly, writer Dr Mahadev Awasthi and Anam Mandali chair Rupak Alankar shed light on various aspects of the book.


Poet Nepal is famous in writing and reciting the metrical poems and is launching Chhanda (meter) reviving campaign across the country RSS
