US positive about providing support to Nepal to combat coronavirus: US envoy

KATHMANDU, July 27: US Ambassador to Nepal, Randy Berry has said the US government is positive about providing necessary support to Nepal to help the country fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

KATHMANDU, July 27: US Ambassador to Nepal, Randy Berry has said the US government is positive about providing necessary support to Nepal to help the country fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. 


In a meeting with Finance Minister Janardan Sharma on Tuesday, the US envoy expressed his commitment that the US government will be assisting in the improvement of Nepal’s education and health sectors. The US government has been providing support to these sectors for the last seven decades.

Recently, the US government provided 1.5 million doses of vaccines against coronavirus to Nepal. Finance Minister Sharma said the Government of Nepal will actively monitor the US-run projects for their effective implementations.
