'THREAT CON 2018' begins Thursday

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: THREAT CON, a two-day international cyber security convention, is being held in Kathmandu on November 22-23.

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: THREAT CON, a two-day international cyber security convention, is being held in Kathmandu on November 22-23. "This is the first of its kind event organized by ICT professional's forum, Society for Information Technology, Nepal (SICT Nepal) and ThreatNix," the organizers said in a statement. "The convention is being organized in order to bring out a radical development in the field of cyber security.

Security practitioners, developers, network and system administrators, IT professionals and including government officials are participating in the event," the organizers added in the statement.


Cybersecurity experts from countries like USA, Russia, Romania, India, Germany and Dubai, representing organizations like Google, Kaspersky, BitDefender and OWASP will be presenting cutting-edge research papers and conducting workshop at the event. There will also be Capture the flag (CTF) competitions, according to the organizers.
