KHOTANG, April 11: Rain has doused an inferno that had gone out of control in a community forest of Majhuwagadhi municipality-15 in the district.
The fire had broken out in Jurethum forest, the biggest jungle in the district, on Saturday and had been raging widely despite efforst by locals to bring it under control.

Luckily, the heavy rains that poured down on Tuesday evening gutted the fire completely, said ward chairman Birendra Dhakal.
The inferno was surging toward west after creating mayhem across eastern Jurethum when the heavy rain occurred.
The community forest spreads along the area of 50 hectors.
