KATHMANDU, July 31: The Khotang earthquake that rattled parts of Nepal has left a few houses destroyed. According to Pavitra Prakash Shah, Assistant Chief District Officer of District Administration Office Khotang, a house was destroyed in Sakela Rural Municipality in Khotang.
Shah says, “There has been information that a mud house has collapsed in Sakela Rural Municipality. We are collecting details of the rest of the damages caused by the earthquake. It has been difficult to collect the details because of the rainy season.”

An earthquake measuring 6 Magnitude with the epicenter at Mattim Birta in Khotang occurred this morning. Tremors of the earthquake were felt across eastern and central Nepal.
