KHOTANG, April 28: Five houses were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out in Halesi Tuwachung Rural Municipality of Khotang district on Thursday.
Two houses belonging to Prem KC, a local of Mahadevsthan in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, one house and cattle house owned by Prem Katuwal, one house and cattle house of Gopal KC, one house belonging to Kumar KC and one cattle house owned by Lila KC were reduced to cinders in the short circuit-triggered inferno.

Four cattle owned by Prem Katuwal were killed in the blaze.
According to District Police Office in Khotang, it has been estimated that a property worth Rs 1.5 m was gutted in the devastating fire.
The fire had been contained by the locals and the local police personnel.
Likewise, the house belongiong to Majit Gurung, a local of Dumredharapani in Lamidada Rural Municipality , was also gutted in the blaze.
The cost of his gutted house has been estimated to be Rs 300,000. One cow owned by him was also killed in the fire.
