Although he doesn’t understand Nepali and can neither speak the language, he got the job at the grocery store because he used to own a shop in India. He earns Rs 5,600 per month, while his accommodation is looked after by his employer.

“I am happy to work in Kathmandu as the earning here is satisfactory. I have a family of six living in India and I miss them all very much. The only sad part of living here is that I get to see my family merely twice a year,” he said.
