Buddha Air resends 68 passengers including UML leaders to Janakpur on alternate flight

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Buddha Air has sent 68 passengers including CPN-UML leaders to Janakpur on another plane.

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Buddha Air has sent 68 passengers including CPN-UML leaders to Janakpur on another plane.  


Buddha Air Engineer Bikas Jha of the airport in Janakpur told Republica that the passengers who returned from Janakpur were sent to Janakpur by another aircraft.


According to him, the plane coming from Kathmandu to Janakpur had a general technical error and was sent back to Kathmandu at 7:45 in the morning.

He said, “The plane that could not land in the morning took off from Kathmandu to Janakpur at 10:00 AM. The plane has landed successfully and other planes are also regular.”


Buddha Air said that due to a technical problem in the Kathmandu-Janakpur aircraft flight number 501 with the call sign of (N-AJ0), the aircraft landed again in Kathmandu and sent the passengers to Janakpur by another aircraft.  


UML Senior Vice Chairman Ishwar Pokharel, Vice Chair Subas Nemwang, Bishnu Paudel, Astalaxmi Shakya, Amrit Bohora were going to Janakpur by the same plane for the Siraha Secretariat meeting in the morning flight.


UML had prepared for the meeting on the day of the commencement of the 4th Convention i.e. 26th of August. The meeting was postponed as the area near Chure was affected by flooding.
