RATNAGAR (Chitwan), July 29: The swollen local Riu river burst its banks and entered the human settlement at Madi in Chitwan, flooding around 45 houses.

Resource person at the District Disaster Management Committee, Balaram Luitel, said that the water level in the river has crossed the danger level of 3.8 meters.
The water level measuring 3.4 meters is considered an alarming sign. He said that a team has been sent to the affected area for rescue operation. RSS
