The accident took place when a tripper (Na 3 Kha 6668) heading to Mahendranagar of Dhanusha district from Patana Bhanjyang of Udaypur overturned, said DSP Kisan Singh Thapa at the Area Police Office, Katari. [break]
The tripper was carrying 12 people and limestone, it is learnt.
Of the 12 injured, five people with critical condition were sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for the treatment, said DSP Thapa.
The tripper driver Bhupal Pariyar is at large and search for the absconded is underway, said police.
