The deceased have been identified as motorcycle riders Thakur Prasad Kandel, 40, and Som Prasad Pantha,30, of Gorkha.
The accident took place as the micro-bus (Ga 1 Kha 2707) heading toward Pokhara collided with the motorcycle (Ga 4 Pa 3902) coming from the opposite direction.
Following the incident, the locals obstructed the Prithvi Highway at midnight, and also vandalized the micro-bus.
Police had to use force to clear the highway.
