Woman sits for exam hour after delivery

DANG, March 26: A woman sat for SLC exam on Friday just an hour after giving birth to a baby. Tara Malla, a student of Hansapur Secondary School at Purandhara VDC of Dang, appeared in the exam at the same school after giving birth. She gave birth at 7 am and appeared for the exam at 8 am, according to District Education Office, Dang.



Meanwhile, an examinee gave birth to a baby while appearing for the SLC exam in Sindhuli on Friday, RSS reported.



According to the District Education Office, Kamala Shrestha (19), a student of Jalkanya Higher Secondary School, gave birth to a baby girl in the exam hall at the Khurkot exam center. Kamala said her daughter will be named ´Parikchhya´, as she was born during the examination.



Meanwhile, 11 persons were arrested on charges of irregularities during the exam in Siraha.



According to the Chief District Officer Birendra Kumar Yadav, the arrestees visited three exam centers in the district posing themselves as superintendents.
