KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast rain and snowfall in some parts of Nepal on Monday and Tuesday. Cloudy weather is expected today (Sunday), with partly to generally cloudy conditions in places like Kathmandu.
Rain is likely to begin Monday night, with light rain in parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Snowfall is also possible in some areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim.

On Tuesday, rain may occur in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with light rain expected in Kathmandu, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Snowfall is expected to be more frequent in the mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Although rain and snowfall are expected, it is unlikely to be heavy or continuous. The forecast suggests normal cloud cover for Wednesday. If rain occurs, it will be the fourth of this winter season.
