BAITADI, Jan 3: The Prime Minister (PM) Cup Women's T20 Sudurpaschim Province Qualifier Cricket Tournament begins today at the Dasharath Chand Cricket Ground in Sundarkhali, Baitadi. Anil Kumar Bista, Secretary of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association, informed that all preparations for the tournament have been completed.
Nepal Cricket Association President Chatur Bahadur Chand will inaugurate the tournament. Following the opening ceremony, Baitadi will face Achham in Group 'B,' while Doti will compete against Bajhang in another match.

The tournament is being held at the Dasharath Chand Cricket Ground after two turf pitches were constructed with the support of the association, said Vinod Bahadur Chand, President of the Baitadi District Cricket Association. He added that playing on turf pitches helps players perform at a higher level, which is why the province-level qualifier is being organized at this venue.
The tournament, running till January 9, will see participation from eight districts affiliated with the Cricket Association of Sudurpaschim, said tournament coordinator Ramesh Bahadur Bohara. According to the schedule, the eight participating teams have been divided into two groups, said Laxman Dutta Bhatta, Secretary of the Provincial Cricket Association.
The winners of Group 'A' and Group 'B' will face off in the final on January 9. Players showcasing exceptional performance in the tournament will be selected to form Sudurpaschim’s team for the PM Cup Women's National Tournament, said Provincial Cricket Association President Basudev Joshi. The national tournament is scheduled to begin in Dhangadhi in mid-January.
