KATHMANDU, May 19: Nepal has successfully qualified for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. In today's match, Nepal defeated the UAE by 5 wickets in the Asia Qualifier Super Three, securing a spot in the Global Qualifier. This historic achievement marks Nepal's first time reaching the Global Qualifier.
Chasing UAE's target of 115 runs, Nepal secured their place in the 10-nation tournament. After losing two consecutive matches, UAE was eliminated in the Super Three. In yesterday's game, UAE was defeated by the host nation, Thailand, by 54 runs. Thailand has also qualified for the Global Qualifier.

Nepal successfully chased down UAE's target of 115 runs in 19.3 overs, losing 5 wickets. Captain Indu Barma contributed 30 runs, Rubina Chhetri scored 23, Samjhana Khadka made 21, and Puja Mahto added 13 runs to Nepal's victory.
Earlier, after winning the toss and choosing to field first, Nepal saw UAE score 114 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing 7 wickets. Openers Esha Oza and Theertha Satish gave UAE a solid start, adding 39 and 21 runs respectively. Heena Hotchandani made 20 runs, while Lavanya Keny scored 12 runs.
In bowling, Manisha Upadhyay was the standout performer, taking 4 wickets for just 20 runs in her 4 overs. Kabita Kunwar took 2 wickets, while Rajmati Airee claimed 1 wicket.
In the final match of the Super Three under the Asia Qualifier, Nepal will face the host nation, Thailand, on Tuesday. Out of the 10 teams participating in the Global Qualifier, four teams will secure a spot in the Women's T20 World Cup.
