RSP forms Constitution Amendment Suggestion Task Force

This task force will hold necessary discussions in all the seven provinces and make a public opinion on behalf of the party after discussing with all relevant partners and constitutional experts.

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has formed a ‘Constitution Amendment Suggestion Task Force’ to suggest the necessary amendments to the Constitution.


The Central Committee meeting of the RSP formed a ‘Constitution Amendment Suggestion Task Force’ under the coordination of Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar.

It is said that this task force will hold necessary discussions in all the seven provinces and make a public opinion on behalf of the party after discussing with all relevant partners and constitutional experts.


The task force consists of Kanti Shikha Dhital, Dr Nandan Yadav, Ganesh Karki, Sobita Gautam, Asim Shah, Dr Toshima Karki, Dr Achutam Lamichhane and Megh Ale. Also, the coordinators of the discussion programs held by the task force in all seven provinces will be the party’s chairpersons for the provinces.


The two-day meeting that began yesterday has decided to start the party organization building campaign from January 15. 


Acting President Dol Prasad Aryal and Vice President Swarnim Wagle informed about contemporary politics and party activities in the meeting. A review of the local level by-elections was also held yesterday. The central committee of the RSP has 61 members, including chair Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently under custody as he is facing investigation over his alleged cooperative funds misappropriation.
