Nepali cricketer Airee to miss Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup

Dipendra Singh Airee, the best player of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), will miss the Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup. The all-rounder from the Nepal national cricket team is set to leave for the UAE on Friday to participate in an international T20 league.

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Dipendra Singh Airee, the best player of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), will miss the Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup. The all-rounder from the Nepal national cricket team is set to leave for the UAE on Friday to participate in an international T20 league.


He will fly there this Friday, and the tournament will kick off on January 11. In the domestic competition, Airee leads the Nepal Police Club as captain.

Airee is a part of the defending champions, Gulf Giants, in the IL T20 in the UAE. Although the team signed him in the previous edition to replace Namibia's captain, Gerhard Erasmus, he did not get the chance to play.


In this edition of the IL T20, another Nepali all-rounder, Kushal Malla, plays for the Desert Vipers team.
