KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Kathmandu recorded its lowest temperature of the year so far, with the mercury dropping to 9.9 degrees Celsius early on Tuesday morning.
This is a significant decline from the previous day's low of 10.5 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the 9.9°C reading was recorded at 5:45 am.
On Sunday, the temperature was slightly higher at 12.2°C.

The weather in Kathmandu is expected to remain mostly clear to partly cloudy, with no precipitation anticipated for the day.
In contrast, Jumla, located in the mid-western region, recorded a much colder temperature of -3.8°C on Monday.
Currently, Nepal is in the post-monsoon season, which lasts throughout November. As winter draws closer in December, temperatures are expected to keep decreasing across the country.
