KATHMANDU, May 23: Independent candidate for the post of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) mayor, Balendra Shah has received more than 46,000 votes as vote counting continues on Monday.
Kathmandu: Balen Shah leading with 28,020 votes
Shah has got 46,476 votes so far (3:30 PM) and is ahead by over 18,000 votes than his closest rival Srijana Singh, the ruling alliance candidate from the Nepali Congress, who is trailing behind Shah with 27,799 votes.
Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit is in the third position. He has received 26,861 votes.
