JUMLA, July 11: Jumla Altra Marathon aimed at promoting tourism development in Karnali Province has kicked off.
The myarathan started at 7 am from Chandannath Temple. The event has been organized by Karnali Sports Club, Jumla to advertise tourism potentialities of the of the province. Over 150 participants including 36 from 15 districts are taking part in the event.

According to Saroj Shahi of Karnali Sports Club, the myarathan participants will run from Jumla to Rara Lake which is 49 km long.
The myarathan was inaugurated by international marathan runner Mira Rai and chairman of Athletics Association Rajiv Shah.
