Gearing up for Rara Marathon to promote tourism

On the occasion of Democracy Day, Rara Marathon will be organized on April 24, 2022. According to a press statement released by Antaral, the marathon will start from Rara Lake in Mugu, a famous tourist destination in Western Nepal, and end in Jumla.

On the occasion of Democracy Day, Rara Marathon will be organized on April 24, 2022. According to a press statement released by Antaral, the marathon will start from Rara Lake in Mugu, a famous tourist destination in Western Nepal, and end in Jumla.

Organized and managed by Antaral, the marathon is expected to be a cornerstone in the development of tourism, adventure sports, and high altitude sports in the region, according to Chakra Bahadur Chand, the event coordinator.


"The Rara Marathon will be important to attract tourist from all over the world to Rara," he said. “This will also provide a great opportunity to the talented athletes especially from Karnali to show their potential in their own place.”


Similarly, the Rara Marathon will be given grandeur to reflect sports tourism and the origin of Nepali language, culture, Sinja (Jumla), Karnali Pradesh, and the whole of Western Nepal, said Sneha KC, Communications Officer of Antaral.


Antaral has urged everyone to cooperate and participate in the marathon.
